Built once. Grown in for decades.

The Legacy Vegetable Garden is made for gardeners who want something stronger, longer-lasting and more attractive than an ordinary timber raised bed.

Manufactured in Christchurch from substantial 3mm corten steel, it is engineered to withstand years of soil pressure and exposure to New Zealand weather. Unlike timber, it will not rot, splinter or require regular staining and painting.

The modular panels are supplied as a kit for assembly on site. Once installed, Legacy Gardens create a permanent growing space for vegetables, herbs, berries and seasonal produce.

As the corten steel weathers, it develops a rich natural patina that protects the steel while allowing the garden to blend beautifully into its surroundings.

3mm heavy-duty corten steel : Substantially stronger than lightweight raised garden beds and engineered to handle the ongoing pressure created by large volumes of soil.

Designed to last for decades : Corten steel develops a protective weathered surface that helps resist further corrosion. It will not rot, warp or splinter like timber.

No painting or staining : Once installed, there is no need for ongoing painting, staining or sealing. Simply plant, grow and enjoy.

Comfortable raised growing : The raised design makes planting, tending and harvesting more comfortable while creating a defined growing area within the landscape.

Modular onsite assembly : The garden is supplied in manageable components for easier transportation and assembly in its final position.

Made in New Zealand : Designed and manufactured in our Christchurch factory for New Zealand gardens and growing conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Legacy range made from 3mm steel?

The heavier steel provides greater rigidity and strength against the constant outward pressure created by large volumes of soil. Legacy range is designed as a permanent garden feature rather than a lightweight seasonal bed.

What is the warranty on these?

Our Legacy Gardens come with a 5 year warranty that covers any manufacturing defect.

How long does it take for patina to develop and will it stain my driveway or paving?

Patina starts developing in the first week of install. It's rate is faster in Autumn and winters. The development slows down in drier months.

The leeching causes stains and we recommend some gap between concrete and any corten product.

Does it require assembly?

Yes. The Legacy Gardens are supplied as a kit for assembly in the garden. This makes the larger sizes easier to transport and position.

M8 stainless steel nuts, bolts and L-key are supplied in the kit. No extra tool is required.
