Corten Steel Flatpack Planter

Our Kiwi-made flatpack corten outdoor garden planters are a great way to add style and durability to any outdoor space. With their sleek design and sturdy construction, these planters are made from high-quality corten steel, ensuring they are both attractive and long-lasting.

One of the main advantages of these flatpack garden planters is their ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, making them perfect for New Zealand's climate. Corten steel is known for its excellent weathering properties, making it an ideal choice for outdoor structures and garden planters. The steel's natural patina process adds to its unique aesthetic qualities, making it a great choice for those looking to add a touch of elegance to their outdoor space.

The natural patina process is gradual and occurs over time as the steel is exposed to the elements. Initially, the steel may appear reddish-brown. However, as the patina develops, the steel's color deepens to a rich, earthy brown or orange-brown hue, and eventually, the patina stabilizes, preventing further rust production. This process not only adds to the planter's visual appeal but also increases its durability and resistance to corrosion.

In addition to being stylish and weather-resistant, these Kiwi-made flatpack corten garden planters are also easy to assemble. The flatpack design allows for convenient transportation and storage, making it an excellent choice for those who want to create or add to a stunning garden oasis with minimal hassle. Once assembled, these planters offer a sturdy and reliable base for plants and flowers, making them an excellent choice for gardeners of all levels. With their unique natural patina process, weather-resistant properties, and easy assembly, these Kiwi-made corten garden planters are a great choice for enhancing the beauty and functionality of any outdoor space.

Specifications:

All corten steel planters are to be provided raw with no patina. The patina will develop over time. If you wish to retain the original aesthetic of raw steel, we can provide a surface sealer at additional charge.

All planters are to be supplied in flatpack form with all required assembly hardware & tools provided.

All sizes can be ordered with or without the baseplate.

  • The baseplate allows for more versatile positioning options where it is beneficial for the bottom of the planter to be enclosed such as a patio or deck.
  • Without the baseplate is best if the planter is going to be installed in an existing garden where the plants would benefit from being able to reach their roots into the soil below the planter.
