Project Overview

What started as an outdated entrance quickly became a modern feature that completely transformed Geoff’s property.

Geoff wanted to replace his old gates with something sleek, modern, and more in tune with the surrounding landscape — while still maintaining a sense of openness. Privacy was important, but he didn’t want the entrance to feel closed off or heavy.

Working closely with Geoff, we developed a custom design that combined clean horizontal lines with subtle native-inspired “Flexpod” detailing. The result is a gate design that feels contemporary, uniquely Kiwi, and visually balanced.

Manufactured in aluminium and finished in a textured matt black powder coat, the new gates offer durability, low maintenance, and a premium architectural finish that suits the home perfectly.

The before-and-after transformation really shows the impact a well-designed gate can have on the overall street appeal of a property.

The client wanted a driveway entrance that would:

  • provide a secure vehicle entrance
  • suit a modern, architecural home
  • feel clean, premium and understated
  • use a durable, low-maintenance material
  • visually connect with the existing exterior finishes

The Solution

Design Junction supplied a custom aluminium driveway gate system finished in matte black powder coat.

Aluminium was selected for its durability, corrosion resistance and lightweight construction, making it well suited to a large moving gate panel. The black finish gives the gate a strong architectural presence while remaining subtle enough to work with modern cladding, concrete, timber and landscaping.

The result is a driveway entrance that feels secure, refined and integrated with the property.
